CEO Of IDG India Startup (Managed security)

An IDG India partner has put out an all points bulletin in search of a CEO to run his managed security services startup. It looks like the company has been conceived at IDG and has not yet been launched yet. Managed security has been a great growth business and it makes sense to operate such a high head count business in India.

Engineering VP For Seattle Security Outfit Watchguard

This is a pretty big security company with over 350 employees. The company has been selling security appliances since 1996. Apparently their head of engineering has left (not sure about the story there.) You'll report to Joe Wang who was CEO of LANDesk Software. The company is largely owned by Francisco Partners and Vector Capital.

As Heard On Radio: COO For Lifelock

The VC-backed, Phoenix-based Lifelock has a search on for a COO. You may have heard the start-up's radio promotions, which seem effective to us.

The start-up is financed by Bessemer and is growing at the rate of 25% per month and are at a run rate this month of $18M. The expect to be at $100M by the end of the year.

The company's ideal candidate is a senior manager in a credit bureau's operation group or holds a similar position in the client services group of a major financial institution.

Doesn't Get Better Than Boulder, CO; Webroot Need Help

webroot logo.pngWe have received emails from 'middle America" asking if we are going to ignore them.

If we were lucky enough to live in Boulder, we might apply here. Webroot has had huge growth and VC investors have sunk $100M+ into this so its not going away any time soon. If you think that Microsoft's free anti-spyware offer is the answer than you shouldn't bother.

Webroot has open reqs for about 25 people, including roles for 10 software guys in Silicon Valley.
