CEO For Bay Area Local Ads Startup
A pre-launch startup called R2B is on the look-out for a CEO/President. You will be expected to raise funding from the company which has its HQ in Fremont.

R2B has spent the last year building a web 2.0 service that will change local advertising forever. We are ready to launch and our team of 7 is excited about building a world class company. We need a CEO/President. Our technical/production team and leadership is in place and busy. Most of our team is in India. R2B is headquartered in Fremont, CA. The company is currently led by two SV serial entrepreneurs who have run the track a couple of times.
We need a CEO who gets our vision and can sell it to traditional print media companies, local advertisers, consumers, and investors. We have self funded to this point and have built our product. Now we need to raise $1.5m from media savvy investors and form strategic business and marketing relationships with traditional print media companies. This is an opportunity that could be big enough to IPO, and will certainly have a number of interesting exit opportunities.
We are not taking applications for any other position at this time.
Duties:
Reporting to the Board, the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be primarily responsible for leading R2B towards the creation of significant value for R2B customers, partners and shareholders. The President/CEO will establish and be responsible for the overall vision, strategic direction, planning, budgets, and operation of the company. This will include product development and engineering, sales, marketing, operations, finance and administration. Specific expectations of the CEO/President include, but are not limited to the following:
• Build and develop the R2B team, provide strategic and organizational leadership and general management of the business
• Guide the technical development process
• Launch the R2B products, drive annual revenue growth and ensure sufficient profit margins
• Refine and continually communicate the vision both internally and externally
• Develop the strategic plan in cooperation with the Board and the senior management team
• Develop and implement tactical plans that will drive the company toward its strategic goals
• Identify and develop a plan for the development and penetration of high probability market niches
• Develop the company structure, and attract and develop superior professionals and managers who can lead this business through an accelerated growth phase
• Develop and maintain investor and banking relationships to finance the operations and growth of the company
