BD VP For New Well Funded Video Ad Network Black Arrow in San Mateo or NYC

Cisco, Comast and Intel as well as VC firms Polaris and Mayfield have invested in new video ad network Black Arrow. They have filled out several key management areas - although it looks like they have a President but no CEO> The New York City based startup says stay tuned for more information but today this is how they describe themselves in their job postings:

Black Arrow is led by Dean Denhart who is president and COO. He was CTO at Knight Ridder Digital and was EVP and CIO at Homestore. He has signed deals with RGB Networks.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate will:
•Create strategies, define opportunities and structure, negotiate and secure the appropriate partnership deals that enable BlackArrow to achieve it stated business strategy and goals.
•Lead business development in building the pipeline of targeted leads in several areas: including broadband video, online advertising and Web-video publishers - both infrastructure Web publishers and ad networks. Individual will structure, negotiate and secure deals, and manage the implementation and up-sell of accounts once closed. Candidate will also help define the company’s product and partnership strategy.
•Contribute to the overall strategic planning and positioning of the company.
•Represent BlackArrow in a manner that generates a positive perception of the company in the digital media industry while in discussions and negotiations with the senior executives.
•Be expected to negotiate deals and manage the internal implementation of those deals by coordinating the operations of product management, legal, marketing and the business development team.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE:
•A history of achievement in negotiating deals with broadband video/advertising companies, and video Web publishers. Candidate must also have familiarity with and ability to strike creative business models in the Internet, media, publishing, cable and content distribution fields.
•A strong network of personal and professional contacts, especially in the online video and/or Web publishing sectors is an important attribute. Proven ability to negotiate partnerships.
•Experience establishing priorities for a business development strategy in advertising or online video business; understanding of the windowing issues faced by this sector, understanding of how to set deal parameters; and, experience articulating, supporting and rationalizing a negotiation strategy.
•Credibility based upon reputation built within the Internet, media or world-class technology industry. An individual with outstanding management and business development capability who will add impact and value to the team.
