SharedBook has received $15M in private funding to date from a single investor group led by Yossie Hollander.

Prior to SharedBook, Mr. Hollander founded New Dimension Software, where he was chairman and CEO, and took it public in 1992. The company was sold to BMC Software in 1999 for $650M. In 1990, he founded Jacada [NASDAQ: JCDA], another enterprise software firm, and is currently serving as its chairman. Competitors include Blurb and QOOP.

Cisco, Comast and Intel as well as VC firms Polaris and Mayfield have invested in new video ad network Black Arrow. They have filled out several key management areas - although it looks like they have a President but no CEO> The New York City based startup says stay tuned for more information but today this is how they describe themselves in their job postings:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate will:

•Create strategies, define opportunities and structure, negotiate and secure the appropriate partnership deals that enable BlackArrow to achieve it stated business strategy and goals.

•Lead business development in building the pipeline of targeted leads in several areas: including broadband video, online advertising and Web-video publishers - both infrastructure Web publishers and ad networks. COO For Mumbai Based Video Startup Founded By Rediff Founder

Ajit Balakrishnan who founded Indian online portal Rediff.com (NASDAQ: REDF) has been in the news lately over speculation that Yahoo, Google and AOL or bidding to buy Rediff.

Today we learn that is building a new un-named startup. "The model will attempt to create a disruption in the TV industry using contemporary internet technologies." The startup is based in Mumbai and has already hired 15 people with experience in digital video.

BiofuelBox says that it has raised funding for its business, but there are no details on amount of who is backing them. Hollister, CA-based BioFuel box installs modular, containerized biofuel refineries co-location at sites where waste material or standard feedstock can be used in fuel production. It says these containers can turn undesirable feedstock such as waste algae or other free fatty aci) waste content into biodiesel.

CANDIDATE MUST QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with chemistry, supercritical process, high heat and temperature processes desirable

• BS (MS or higher preferred) in ChemE, ME or a related technical field

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES:

• Experience managing outsource design and manufacturing subcontractors

• Proficient and experienced at Project/Program Management using Theory of Constraints or other disciplined techniques

• Experienced in supplier qualification and supply chain development

• Experience in engineering compromises and trade-offs for introduction speed vs. performance vs. development costs, etc.

• Familiarity with the application and scope of relevant US Codes and Standards such as ASME, API and TEMA

• Background in operability principles and maintenance requirements of the diverse machinery used in the chemical industry

• Training and experience in Quality engineering processes and Quality products

• Proficiency in modeling and analysis tools and techniques such as CAD, CAM, Chemical process models, thermal and structural analysis

• Multiple functional experience in Development, Manufacturing and Quality is highly desired

Capabilities: Deep understanding of software engineering principles and processes; strong computer science fundamentals; past hands-on experience designing and developing large software systems. Ability to lead code and architecture reviews of key system components, and make or lead critical decisions about performance/time/risk tradeoffs. Proven ability to be the key manager, advocate, and champion of engineering within the company. Ability to commit to delivery dates and goals which meet the company’s business needs, and successfully manage the code creation process and engineering team to hit those dates and goals.
