VP of Integrated Brand Marketing For Ping In NYC

Pre-launch, funded Ping Interactive is looking to hire a VP of Integrated Brand Marketing in its NYC office. The company was founded in Toronto. They want someone with familiarly with event planning and premium “female” orientated consumer or business brands.

Ping Interactive is a funded early stage, pre-launch, New York City based Internet startup. We are building a consumer and small business targeted event planning and management web application. The founding team is composed of experienced Internet entrepreneurs and developers with a track record of prior start-up success. We are looking for a marketing professional to build out and lead the marketing function as we move toward launch. This person will be considered part of the founding executive team and involved in all aspects of marketing and general corporate decision-making and execution.
We are looking for that rare individual with the following qualities:
• Entrepreneurial and Driven – you are looking for an opportunity to build something from the ground up. You feel at home in an early stage small company environment. If you like working in large established corporations or dream of becoming a partner on Madison Ave. this is not for you.
• Strategic and Tactical – we need someone who can at once create overall marketing strategy and plans and then immediately turn and produce the work necessary to execute on those plans. As an example, you are comfortable crafting a high-level brand strategy as you are writing web site content.
• Creative and Managerial – you’re able to produce creative content and manage various internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with marketing in a consumer Internet environment is a definite bonus. As is familiarly with event planning and premium “female” orientated consumer or business brands. Drive, intelligence, creativity and curiosity are more important then years on the job.
Requirements
• Good understanding of the evolution of online marketing technologies and strategies; Knows the importance of online community relationships;
• Strong grasp of and demonstrated success in online viral and acquisition marketing;
• Hands-on experience with managing campaigns access multiple online channels
• Keyword advertising, SEO and SEM skills
o ¬Extensive knowledge of software and web application marketing, technology trends, pricing and packaging
• PR skills;
• Familiarity with event planning or like industry a bonus;
• Ability to build and manage teams;
• Entrepreneurial outlook and self-starter. Able and prepared to operate on multiple levels – strategic, tactical and creative;
• Comfortable playing multiple roles within a start-up environment;
• An acute sense of lifestyle trends, media savvy, pop culture hit lists and brand marketing;
• Must have active product/industry knowledge, and actively study competitive landscape;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong judgment, analytical and problem solving skills
