Ad Sales Head For Global TV/Internet Co. JumpTV

This is a very cool Canadian company that recently did an IPO that we covered here. The company was founded by the guy who started in that documentary Dot.com

They are looking for someone to lead their global ads sales efforts. Company currently has about $125M in the bank and has offices in Toronto, Dubai and New York City. Prepare to travel, travel, travel.

JumpTV is the world's leading aggregator and distributor of ethnic television content. The Company has nearly 300 channels which are live streamed over the Internet and distributed via JumpTV.com and other market leading Internet platforms (e.g. Comcast, AOL, MSN Arabia, Terra.com). Only a few companies on the internet stream more video daily than JumpTV and in the summer of 2006 the company went public on the Toronto and London stock exchanges largely due to its potential to monetize the exclusive worldwide relationships it has with its TV channels from over 70 countries around the world. JumpTV operates a hybrid subscription/advertising service and is building a national advertising sales team to support ad sales on the majority of its television channels.
We have position available for an Advertising Sales Director who will be responsible for creating advertising and sponsorship opportunities in the video advertising space. This opportunity puts the candidate in charge of creating and maintaining a National Sales Team. While JumpTV will concentrate in the short term on the developing of the USA advertising market, there is a very real opportunity of the successful candidate’s remit quickly expanding to be responsible for global advertising sales. The appropriate candidate will financially benefit from a base salary with generous commission structure and Company options.

Candidates should feel comfortable and be able to demonstrate a proven track record with the following responsibilities:

• National key account management dealing with both Advertising Agencies and Advertisers
• Build from scratch and manage, a national sales team to motivate, inspire and lead by example
• Prepare agency sales presentations, positioning and strategy and the ability to present to a very high standard
• Develop advertising sales media kits
• Demonstrate high level of negotiation experience for annual advertising agency sales share deals
• Minimum 10 years advertising agency sales experience
• A well known and respected personality within the online advertising industry
• Sales of online advertising
• Previous work history in Internet technology
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
• Self starter who can set priorities and manage independent personalities in order to get the most out of people
• An outward personality who can think creatively to problem solve and negotiate
• Fluency in Spanish would be helpful and an understanding and/or direct experience in the online Hispanic advertising sector
• A team player who builds relationships quickly and efficiently
• Enjoys working in a start-up environment e.g. not afraid for working long hours
• The ability to travel often, frequently for long period
