We have developed a robust and powerful tool for managing IT infrastructure that is far ahead of any other product on the market in terms of scalability, ease of use and performance. The product is complete and ready for prime time; we have closed several small sales and have live deployments.

We are seeking a CEO to lead the Company while delivering quantifiable success in the development of new customer relationships. The CEO will report to the Company’s Board of Directors and will be called upon to take the reins of the company from the founder who will remain active as the Company’s Chief Technology Officer. The CEO will be responsible for the full range of business operations, including strategy development, product pricing, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.

This is a challenging position with tremendous upside for a hungry, talented self-starter with exceptional business development skills. The ideal candidate is one who would embrace the challenge of building a small company with great technology into the market leader. The CEO’s challenge is to drive revenue growth and build a sales force as revenues permit.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Chart the company’s course and make necessary strategic decisions
• Close new business relationships
• Develop long-term vision and strategy
• Articulate core value proposition and position the company as the premier solution
• Implement processes, systems and teams that will scale with demand

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience selling enterprise software to F1000 companies
• 5+ years business development experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Executive-level experience in sales or marketing, ideally with GM/P&L responsibility
• Business-building experience, having previously created and validated business models
• Entrepreneurial DNA, bootstrapping tenacity, and experience in startup environments
• A charismatic evangelist, able to convince critical constituencies of the company’s value proposition
• A thick Rolodex of CIO/CTO executives, especially in the Bay area

EDUCATION
An undergraduate degree in business or a technical field is required; a masters degree is a plus.

COMPENSATION
The compensation package offers a modest base salary, a large performance-based bonus, significant equity ownership, and health & dental coverage.
