VP of Sales For SF's Jambase

Jambase is a music website that was launched in 2000 and says it is profitable. The majority of revenue is currently generated by music industry advertisers (record labels, promoters, etc.) The company is now expanding beyond its base and is looking for a director/VP of Sales to both oversee its current sales as well as to open the new streams.
Your bosses would be Andy Gadiel who bootstrapped the company which started as a hobby and CEO David Rosenheim who came in 10 months ago. They now employ eight people.

The right candidate will have a proven ability to generate significant online advertising sales. He or she will combine the ability to achieve significant personal sales goals as well as to lead and develop others. A doer and a thinker, the right candidate will have the vision and entrepreneurial drive to work with the CEO, Founder, and core staffers to achieve a steep and sustainable growth trajectory.
Compensation
Competitive base salary and bonus/commission structure.
Responsibilities
• Produce personal sales through key accounts
• Work with CEO to develop sales strategy and goals
• Develop value proposition for key client segments, oversee development of sales collateral and sales marketing programs
• Recruit, train and supervise a small sales organization
• Develop and implement CRM system (i.e. Salesforce.com)
• Develop and maintain new client relationships and sales in non-endemic segments
o Identify potential brand advertisers
o Establish contact with decision makers at brands and their agencies
o Oversee implementation of non-endemic campaigns
• San Francisco-based with approximately one-week of travel per month
Skills and experience
• A proven track record of consistently exceeding aggressive personal sales targets in online ad sales utilizing current models and trends
• At least four-years in senior sales management, with a proven track record of successfully leading and developing others to exceed group sales targets
• Knowledge of online ad agency landscape and with ample contacts
• Excellent written and oral communicator
• BA/BS required, MBA a plus
