Finance VP For Video CDN Digital Fountain
Digital Fountain is an online video infrastructure company that competes with Akamai. This is one of the hottest sectors online and Digital Fountain has a very impressive group of investors who have bought in, including Cisco, Honda, BT, Sony, Sumitomo, and Matrix Partners. They are looking for a VP of Finance to report to the CEO - Charlie Oppenheimer who ran Aptiva which was bought by Yahoo.

Position Summary
Reporting to the CEO, the position manages the accounting, financial planning & analysis and general administrative (including stock option administration, customer contract management/tracking, IT, and facilities) functions in the company. Manage accounting clerk for day-to-day AR/AP administration. General responsibilities include: assuring high quality of financial controls and systems; a high level of accuracy, quality and timeliness of internal and external financial reporting; managing tax compliance and planning; the position will have a major impact on the strategy of the business and will own the business model. The VP of Finance will play a key role in financing, strategy, cash flow management, and investor relations.
Qualifications
• Ability to multi-task and work on a broad range of situations
• Experience in telecom, CDN or network hosting services. Additional experience with software licensing business models very helpful.
• Proven analytical and strategic thinking
• Exceptional business modeling and analysis skills
• Financing experience (VC, Corporate) including equity and debt deals.
• Strong accounting skills, CPA a plus
• Knowledgeable about software/service contracts and able to provide detailed input with respect to revenue-recognition implications.
• Experience in both small and large corporations
• Experience with running the budgeting process and in providing meaningful analysis of actual results vs. plan
• Able to manage administrative functions including facilities and IT.
• Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, approachable from all levels of the organization
• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA a plus
