Summary of Functions:
Responsible for all of Acuity Mobile’s engineering activities including systems analysis, programming, computer, and auxiliary operations. Directs all software engineering activities, primarily for the strategic planning and design of Acuity Mobiles product. Interfaces with other information systems management staff to coordinate software, hardware, and systems capabilities including client server architectures. Prepares cost estimates for current and proposed activities. Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods. Prepares activity and progress reports. Works hand in hand with Acuity’s CTO, product management, while taking functional guidance from Corporate Executives.
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in technical field and BS in EE, CS, or related field.
• 10+ years experience in hands-on engineering; strong background in software engineering.
• Wireless and telecommunications experience a plus.
• 5+ years technical management experience required.
• Proven track record of delivering products on time, within budget.
• Extensive knowledge of software development processes and methodologies for product.
• Design, development, testing and release experience.
• Strong management and resource allocation experience. Work with an outsourced vendor preferred.
