Boston's Pre-launch PlatformQ Hiring VP Marketing
There is not yet a logo or Web site here but PlatformQ is hiring a VP of Marketing in Boston. The company claims to be well funded and we are not suprised. Its VP of products is former Forrester analyst Chris Charon. He explains that "The Company is launching a revolutionary business-to-business online marketing model for lead generation and sales through the development, production and integration of industry-focused virtual events with professional community networks."

The successful candidate will play an integral role in charting the future growth of the company. This unique opportunity requires an experienced, skilled professional who is a proactive, ambitious leader with a strong Internet Marketing background.
Job Responsibilities:
• Position reports directly to the CEO and will be a member of the Senior Management team
• Research and identify target markets and industry verticals to penetrate
• Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies
• Manage the planning and execution of the company’s overall marketing strategies and programs
• Build and lead professional marketing staff and support team.
• Prepare and manage allocation of marketing budget and resources
Job Requirements:
• MBA degree coupled with 5-7 years of solid experience developing and executing marketing programs within the Research, Internet, Interactive Marketing or Agency arena
• Proven Internet/Technology background and experience with online marketing are important criteria for success
• Must have the ability to work effectively in a team based "roll up your sleeves" culture
• Project management experience, with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities
• Proven individual contributor and collaborator/team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills as well as a blend of intuitive thinking
• Proven presentation skills and quantitative analysis are a must
• Willingness to travel occasionally
