THE ROLE - CFO
We’re seeking a hands-on CFO to be a member of the executive team, to help define the future of the company, and to enhance business performance and value. The CFO also will direct and oversee the financial and business activities, policies, procedures and controls of the company, and lead the company’s human resources activities and to attract, retain and develop world-class talent. Additionally, you will lead contract and business agreement negotiations, review of all legal documents, and spearhead financial and legal due diligence on major programs, ventures, and business relationships.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Plans, develops, and establishes financial policies and objectives.
• Accounting, risk management and asset preservation (including trademarks).
• Confers with company management team to plan business objectives, to develop organizational policies, to coordinate functions, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining annual objectives and goals. Establish a structure of enterprise accountability for results. Evaluates performance of managers with established goals and objectives of prior year.
• Assists CEO in creating company strategy and direction. Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Gain business alignment to identify, evaluate, and execute strategies.
• Direct supervisor of accounting personnel. Assists in day to day operational accounting procedures including accounts receivable & payable, general ledger, data entry. Evaluate, enhance accounting and internal control systems and assist with strategic growth initiatives.
Requirements
• MBA required
• MBA / JD preferred
• Minimum 10 years experience within Accounting and Finance.
• Minimum 5 years experience in business analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting, preferably with a start up.
• Minimum 5 years experience negotiating or evaluating contracts.

• Works effectively on own with minimal direction or feedback; and willingly makes own decisions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
