Vice President, Business Development & Sales

The Vice President of Business Development and Sales will partner with the CEO to develop the
appropriate channel strategy and revenue pipeline that maximizes the long-term valuation potential
of the company and develop relationships that activate company's strategic vision. This will include
creating a revenue model associated with developing and cultivating key strategic relationships, directly with early customers and with appropriate channels, where our differentiating technology will be in high demand.

The Vice President of Business Development and Sales should have a track record of successfully
embracing disruptive technologies. He/She will also have a proven track record of maximizing
revenue potential and solid leadership skills.

Responsibilities include:

* Create and implement the business development and sales plans in their entirety.
* Be responsible and accountable for achieving the company's revenue goals.
* Source partnerships for software products both at the OEM Strategic Partner and Enterprise level
and manage partners to ensure maximum distribution.
* Develop various channels and execute strategy.
* Ensure that channel strategy is consistent with corporate and product strategy.
* Develop financial models and business cases for each customer and strategic partnership.
* Negotiate contracts.
* Must be self-starting and independent, without requiring a lot of day-to-day supervision and
directions.
* Report directly to CEO/President and be able to function extremely well in a "team" environment,
accountable to the entire team for his/her performance and success.

Qualifications:

* An extensive background in the business development and sales of software products.
* Minimum of 5 years in specifically managing large direct sales opportunities and channel creation.
* Experience in selling technology solutions to large direct customers seeking a competitive market advantage over their competition.
* Experience in developing all forms of partnerships including OEM, VAR, and Channel.
* Must have experience negotiating, reviewing, and analyzing contracts and a successful track
record in sales.
* Experience raising VC capital a big plus.
* Working knowledge of selling in an open source environment, a strong plus.
* Experience in video/data management software a plus.
