Job Description:

Granite Global Ventures (GGV) seeks to hire a highly qualified candidate to become an Associate in GGV’s Menlo Park office in mid 2007. The Associate will be expected to take a pro-active role in prospecting for new investment opportunities. The Associate will also conduct preliminary due diligence on prospective investments and research markets and companies of interest. The Associate will work closely with members of GGV’s investment staff, including Managing Directors and Principals. The position is envisioned to be a 2-year role, with a subsequent step likely to be an MBA. A 2-year commitment is required.


Candidate Criteria:

• 2 - 5 years of experience from strategy consulting, investment banking, technology company operating experience, and/or equity research.

• Ambitious, hardworking and able to succeed in a results-driven environment.

• Top communications skills, maturity, and creativity.

• Candidates should be pro-active by nature and feel comfortable with outbound, networking-oriented activities.

• Solid understanding of and interest in technology.

• Analytical thinking and quantitative. Strong modeling and valuation skills.

• MBA not required.
