Responsibilities
You would enjoy spending your time . . .
* Moving the Right Business Metrics Up and To the Right (25%)
o Surface the key metrics which drive the success of the company.
o Lead the correct initiatives to achieve industry leadership on all metrics.
* Driving Traffic and Getting the Word Out (25%)
o Generate press coverage through PR and outreach to media and analysts.
o Attract users to our site through ROI-able SEO, SEM, and affiliate marketing.
o Utilize creative promotions and events to increase awareness.
* Creating Brand Awareness (25%)
o Develop branding and messaging that differentiates the company’s product and mission in the marketplace
o Execute marketing programs that heighten company brand awareness in the publishing and employment worlds
* Satisfying Customer Needs (25%)
o You live, breathe and sleep the publisher, talent seeker and job seeker experience and are constantly in touch with them.
o Systematically build features that delight each group.

Qualifications
You’ve been there done that . . .
* Identified key business metrics for a web-based product (e.g., page views, clicks, time on site, visits, revenue, sign-ups) and drove substantial and sustained increases.
* Created differentiated messaging to stand out in the marketplace.
* Generated millions of visitors to a Web site only on the basis of public relations with stories in tech, trade and consumer publications.
* Executed SEM spends against a specific ROI model which you have developed, measured and optimized.
* Implemented SEO strategy that improved the page rank of your Web site and drove visitors to the Web site.
* Created and executed promotions and physical events with thousands of participants.
* Launched affiliate programs with tens of thousands of affiliates.
* Have 10+ years of marketing experience in the areas of online traffic generation, brand building programs, public relations, online marketing and product development and product management.
* Have 7+ years of Internet marketing experience in consumer focused companies
* Hired, managed and nurtured a 10+ person marketing team, managed people who have managed people, and managed an outside PR firm.
. . . and been there done SOME of that, too . . .
* Worked in the vertical search market and/or the employment market.
* Been an Internet industry “veteran” with deep product and/or marketing experience.
* Had P/L responsibility
