Position Description:
We are seeking an outstanding Software Engineer to build out Next Style's technology platform. SF-based, Pre-Launch Movie Search Site CastTV Seeks Site COO

Alright so we are not 100% sure this job is for the somewhat secretive CastTV. But we took clues to reach this conclusion. CastTV started in 2004 by a husband and wife engineering team who self-funded the service. CastTV is in beta and won't go live until the end of this year, according to co-founder Alex Vikati.
The video search engine is trying to be the most comprehensive search database by crawling the Web for video content from major networks, individuals and other producers. CastTV doesn't search inside the video, but IDs files Flash, Javascript and media plug-ins, such as the video players from Microsoft's media player as well as the more recent players from Brightcove to VideoEgg. CastTV plans to make money as a destination site and as a technology provider to media companies.

• Primary interface with NBCU's internal technology team that is responsible for building new products to ensure
1) detailed product requirements are clearly defined to address business objectives,
2) agreed upon product requirements are strictly adhered to as product are built, and
3) product delivery schedule meets business objectives and goals.
• Manage all third party product partners.
• Remain current with industry trends and facilitate best practice sharing among NBCU site operators
• Facilitate weekly Digital Media Product Portfolio Council meetings. The Council consists of cross-functional leaders (e.g., NBCU online properties, strategy, finance, sales, technology, etc). It is a forum to review new initiatives, evaluate existing initiatives and prioritize the product portfolio across all NBCU online properties.

• Extensive technical knowledge, including a strong understanding of emerging technologies and how they are evolving.
• Strong influence management experience and the demonstrated ability to drive change in groups that are not directly under their jurisdiction.

• Experience managing via teamwork and collaboration, both within the department and via interaction with others.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS:
• The successful candidate will have at least 4 years executive level experience in leading both creative and strategic functions and initiatives for a high-volume website, or collection of websites, operating on a global scale.
• Bachelors' degree in science or engineering or at least 8 years of experience in product development in the consumer entertainment, Internet and/or the online media space.

Plum is looking for an exceptional individual to be the team lead and architect for client development. The Plum clients include RIAs, a Web UI, browser plugins (IE and FireFox), as well as a desktop application (Windows and OSX). We are looking for someone to provide both technical and development leadership.
