VP eCommerce For NYC's Alacra
Fred Wilson is pimping this VP eCommerce position at his Flatiron portfolio company Alacra. Fred puts a good face on it but it is surely one if his more painful associations as he has been on the board since 1999 and the start-up won't go away, won't deliver.

Vice President of E-Commerce - New York
Immediate Opportunity for E-Commerce Vice President
Reporting to CEO this position leads the Alacra E-Commerce team and is responsible for development and growth of our e-Commerce products. As a member of Alacra's senior management team, you'll be responsible for developing and leading our e-Commerce strategy for existing and new markets. Your responsibilities will include the development and execution of online marketing programs to drive awareness, traffic and conversion.
Responsibilities
* Lead the growth of existing Alacra e-Commerce products
* Identify and manage new product development opportunities
* Manage SEO initiatives to increase usage
* Lead marketing efforts for customer acquisition
* Recommend, test and optimize keywords, ad copy and landing pages for SEM and PPC advertising
* Develop and manage partnership and affiliate marketing opportunities
Requirements
* 5+ years marketing experience with at least three years leading e-commerce initiatives
* Successful track record in online marketing, including search engine optimization, online advertising, e-mail marketing and affiliate marketing.
* Deep understanding of web analytics tools; experience with HBX (WebSideStory) a plus
* Knowledge of website design and development, user flow and information architecture and their impact on the customer experience.
* Extensive Project and/or Product Management experience
* Aggressive risk-taker with documented record of success
* Experience leading technical teams
* Bachelors or Masters in a relevant domain
* Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, HTML and JavaScript a plus.
* Knowledge of content industry and/or financial markets a plus
