Position Description:
1Bloc, the new network for social innovators, is seeking a entrepreneurial and passionate leader to join our new venture as the Director of Strategy and Partnerships. The Director of Strategy and Partnerships will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Fortune 500 corporations, international financial intermediaries, leading social enterprises, and other policy organizations. This individual will collaborate closely with the CEO of 1Bloc to develop 1Bloc’s growth strategy. This position is based in New York City but will require travel throughout the United States and may require limited travel in Europe.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute 1Bloc’s strategy for securing national, international, and local partners that enhance our customer value proposition
2. Develop and maintain deep, consistent relationships with targeted partners including leading social enterprises and responsible companies
3. Develop systems to track information about partners and interactions over time
Qualifications
1.Understanding and relevant work experience in social entrepreneurship and/or sustainability a must, experience in internet and/or social media experience strongly preferred.
2. Passionate commitment to the mission of 1Bloc to build a more sustainable global economy.
3. Charismatic, high intensity leader with strong emotional intelligence
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills – ability to present effectively to diverse audiences
5. Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build/cultivate personal relationships and relate to people from diverse backgrounds, sectors, and experiences
6. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
7. Strong organization and project management skills – ability to balance the big picture with detailed steps to reach goals, ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, and strong attention to detail
8. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team
9.Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and take initiative
10. Ability to learn quickly and succeed in a rapidly-changing, fast-paced, start-up environment
11. Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) and basic internet browsers and searches
12. Understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, SQL Server a plus.
13. Graduate of a four year college or university; advanced degree preferred
