Seattle's MarketTools Needs Sales VP For Online Market Research

If you are not familiar with MarketTools, they are a pretty significant operation - founded in 1997 and now has 450 employees. They have an application called Zoomerang that does market research online. In this position you would report to the SVP of Account Development - Rob Schneider (not the comedian we suspect) and sell primarily to Fortune 500 companies.

Key responsibilities: Reporting to the SVP – Strategic Accounts, your primary responsibilities will include: maintaining and growing our relationship with a key strategic client by providing expertise and consulting regarding their key full service market research needs. Help develop sales plans and strategies to expand business into new business units and grow revenue throughout the existing business units. Provide MarketTools with timely reporting on progress regarding revenue, profit and client generation, pricing, competitive activity, etc. represent our company through key market visits, research results presentations, sales prospect interaction, as well as industry events.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of client or supplier-side experience conducting or selling primary market research, including online (experience with tech industry is a strong plus)
• Proven track record of closing new business and exceeding sales targets
• Ability to sell technology-enabled/web-based products
• Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent understanding of pricing
• Driven, articulate, confident, polished: a good presenter and a good listener
• Enthusiastic and passionate about our company
• Bachelors degree required; MBA a plus
