Job Description
- Assume role of lead software engineer in a fast-paced start-up environment working on an exciting Web Application project.
- Responsibilities focus on technology evaluation, development, and concept/prototype design.
- Develop core aspects of site’s infrastructure.
- Must have outstanding analytical, communications and interpersonal skills.
Technical Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience with minimum 3+ years of Internet based web application development experience in using Java, J2EE, JSP, Struts, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML/AJAX, XML, EJB, Web Services, JBoss, and Relational databases.
- Expertise in dynamic web content with good knowledge of Web 2.0 concepts and technologies.
- Strong Object-Oriented background with extensive Java experience, J2EE Design Patterns and best practices.
- Proven experience in the implementation of scalable J2EE applications, preferably using open-source components.
- Expertise in integration of open-source and vendor components.
- BS/MS in Computer Science.

- Engineering genius and visionary who is not afraid to roll up the sleeves!
- Ability to work collaboratively in a shared-code environment.
- Passionate, energetic leader and great team player!
Others
- Expertise in search platforms is a big plus.
- Python experience is a plus.
