Ruby Dude For Austin's Spiceworks

Let's say you want to know how many PCs and printers you have on you network as well as how many licenses of Adobe Acrobat and you want this information without having to pay someone like IBM a lot of money, rather you want this info for free. Seems like that should be pretty simple but its not. So its amazing to us that a company like Spiceworks ha a market opportunity but in fact it does. Spiceworks received $5M in Series A funding from Austin Ventures in June 2006.

Spiceworks IT Desktop 1.0 is an advertisement-supported Windows application aimed at the SMB market, designed to perform inventorying and basic monitoring of LANs.
