If you are into tech and live within 45 minutes of Pasadena you know about Idealab. They have a new start-up, although we know not what it does and they need a Chief Railhead.

Idealab: Chief RailHead for Early-Stage Startup

We are building a company from scratch & need YOU to be our Rails expert. You will guide our architecture & standards with your extensive experience & you will teach very sr. engineers the Ruby Way. The RailHead we're looking for most likely: Eats, sleeps & breathes Ruby; Has spent 7+ years developing in Java, C#, C++, Perl, Python, Lisp &/or Ruby (of course!); Has a strong grasp of paradigms including object-oriented, functional & procedural programming; Loves to teach others about Ruby & to discover & share better ways of developing s/w; Is pragmatic; Is agile; Has deployed sites using Rails; Lives near Pasadena, CA; Plays well with others, but tells things like they are; Loves to give & receive constructive criticism; Has a degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, architecture, particle physics, electrical engineering &/or art history & still loves to learn; Thinks he/she is the best thing since sliced bread; Actually IS the best thing since sliced bread
