We provide a powerful platform for artist promotion and an interactive community for fans to discover, share, review and buy new independent music. We're looking for world-class web developers to help build a service supports a broader movement to revolutionize the music industry.
We have an immediate opening for a brilliant and creative web and ecommerce developer with solid experience in data-driven web sites and interfacing with commercial e-commerce systems and payment gateways.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation, primarily using PHP and Java, of our ecommerce platform and interfaces to our payment gateway and ecommerce management systems.
• Engaged at all development levels and play a critical role in driving our e-commerce platform.
• Work closely with our music industry leaders to build technology that will radically change the industry's landscape.
• Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations, and contribute your own great ideas.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years experience developing highly available, scalable web applications.
• Previous, demonstrated experience developing and releasing a large scale e-commerce initiative.
• Experience working with Web Services (XMLRPC, SOAP) in a highly scalable environment.
• Extensive knowledge of LAMP based development, particularly PHP5 and MySQL5.
• Experience with music systems and commerce a plus.
• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent in work experience
You should have a sincere passion for music, perhaps even as a performing musician, and of course have top software engineering skills. You need to be comfortable in a start up environment, have demonstrated skills in rapidly taking designs from the concept stage to a scalable, reliable production environment. You think it's cool to have guitars around the office. Most important, you like to work hard, have fun, and want to be part of a truly "game changing" company that is pushing the digital music revolution to the next level.
