"Badass" Systems Architect For Funded, Pre-launch SF-based GigantoCorp. - "Riot Nrrrrds a plus"

gigantocorp logo.png
What's a Riot Nrrrd you wonder? Here's the idea:
One day... it'll happen. A bunch of us kept nrrrrds (employed by only one company) will be in a locked, windowless room with a bunch of consultants. The consultants will be babbling incoherently about the "infobahn" "cyberculture" "cyberspace" "surfing tha web" and "interactive marketing." And there will be blunt weapons in that room. And the festivities will begin.

At any rate, this pre-alpha, funded start-up in San Francisco that calls itself GigantoCorp. needs your typical new-age system architect to do Ruby on Rails crap.

Systems Architect at GigantoCorp
Location: San Francisco

Description
Funded startup needs an experienced and badass systems architect who can bring us to alpha (short term) and beyond (long term). Technologies we we think we want to use include Ruby on Rails and it’s supporting frameworks (script.aculo.us, javascript in general, CSS, HTML, etc.), ALAX, MySQL, wiki goodness and maybe Flash. Candidates must know what the heck they're talking about when it comes to web technologies yet be honest about what they don't know (a company is alot more agile when egos don't need protection). Must have read 37 Signal's "Getting Real" and "get it".Candidates will work in a high paced start-up environment that expects strong performance and results.Candidate must be able to adapt to user feedback and work in an Agile-like approach with short iterations. We are UI/UX types who have a good idea and money to build it.We will have a great office environment, and provide both a rewarding project and a great place to work. And we will value you. Riot Nrrrrds a plus.
