Aaargh, Beverly Hill's BiggerBoat is on-boarding its whole senior management team. They need VPs of Content, Distribution and Sales. These guys want to build a search engine for entertainment content. Investors are Zone Ventures, Virgin Interactive and First Round.

BiggerBoat, the definitive search and discovery engine for entertainment, is looking for a Vice President of Content to join our Los Angeles based team. This position will play a pivotal role in the growth of the company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executing agreements for content with large Internet publishers, 3rd party data suppliers, and Internet retailers.

Responsibilities:
• Developing partnerships with information providers.
• Negotiating and managing comprehensive relationships with retail partners.
• Negotiating and managing the inclusion of ad-supported content in the BiggerBoat Index through first of its kind revenue sharing models.
• Building and managing a team responsible for the quality, accuracy and coverage of the BiggerBoat Index.
• Contributing significantly to strategic planning process with other key members of the management team.
Required Skills:
• Forward thinking with experience in developing a world-class Internet service.
• Leadership in every way, most importantly by example.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, multi-project environment and ability to respond immediately to often changing business priorities
• Attention to detail.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.
Required Experience & Education
• 10+ years in a leading role acquiring content.
• Extensive experience being a leading contributor to the growth of an Internet start-up.
• 7+ years work experience at an online search and/or media company.
• 7+ years work experience within one or more facets of the entertainment industry.
• Undergraduate degree required.
• Start-up experience a plus.
• Experience with a search engine a plus.

VP of sales
Responsibilities:
• Develop a significant base of advertisers within the entertainment industry.
• Create an effective structure and process for selling.
• Manage and maximize client relationships.
• Grow an effective team of sales professionals.
• Create viable sales tools, materials and packages for clients.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the company and develop a strategic plan for the company's sales efforts.
• Oversee implementation and account management of campaigns, internal and external reporting, and billing and collection processes.
• Establish a team culture that promotes overachievement & exceeding sales goals
Required Skills:
• Strong “Closer” with excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to persuade.
• Strong background in negotiation, analytical problem-solving, and deal structuring.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (word, excel, PPT).
• Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to change.
Experience & Education:
• 10+ years experience selling advertising to the entertainment community. Rolodex within the Music and Movie Industry required.
• 5+ years experience selling Internet Advertising or other non-traditional/new media advertising.
• Experience with both agency and client-direct sales preferred.
• Experience developing online advertising and marketing programs for search based or other forms of contextual advertising.
• Undergraduate degree required with MBA a plus.
• Start-up experience a plus.
• Experience with a search engine a plus.
