Tealeaf has quitely raised venture funding. Its CEO Rebecca was entrepreneur in residence at Foundation Capital. Looks like your boss would be Geoff Galat, VP of Marketing & Product Strategy, who had the same role at Tumbleweed Communications.
Tealeaf does Customer Experience Management. In other words, its software ensures that eBusiness customers can complete every transaction, every time. It does seem like a great market. How many times have you been disappointed trying to do a simple online transaction. USA Today reports that 80% of online users have had bad transaction experience. Targets are financial services, retail, manufacturing and travel sectors.

The Director of Product Marketing position is responsible for defining and implementing the product marketing strategy and programs for TeaLeaf's market leading CX product line. Specific responsibilities for this position include planning of marketing strategy and programs based on analysis of the market, competition and customer needs; working with field sales to communicate key benefits to customers; supporting product demonstration development, developing sales tools including ROI calculators and case studies, and creating sales and marketing collateral.
Responsibilities
• Be an evangelist for all TeaLeaf products, and manage the company's outbound product positioning, marketing, messaging and deliverables.
• Be a key participant in the field sales process, giving product presentations and demonstrations to customers, helping with RFP responses, competitive analysis and win/loss analysis.
• Responsible for regularly improving messaging, tailoring the vertical strategies and driving the vision in the field.
• Develop sales tools including slide decks, demos, case studies, testimonials, ROI calculators, product presentations, white papers and data sheets.
• Assist with press and analyst relations.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications based on customer needs and requests.
• Conduct competitive analysis and ongoing competitive and market landscape tracking activities.
• Analyze the needs of our customers, prospects and sales channel to understand issues limiting or slowing sales.
• Work closely with management, sales and the product team on product strategy and positioning, pricing and strategic partnerships.
Requirements
• 5-7+ years in Product Marketing for enterprise software. Pre- and post-sales support experience desired.
• BA/BS in Marketing other applicable field; MBA preferred.
• Prefer experience working in fast growing startups. Excellent technical depth including an understanding of business intelligence and web applications strong preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading and executing product marketing efforts for market leading products
• Experience working closely with and supporting a direct field sales team, including the development of sales tools, including presentations, product demonstrations and product collateral.
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written skills are required. Proven success in customer-facing roles to secure and develop strong references for marketing and sales activities is required.
• Strong business, research and analytical skills.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex products and interface with the product team.
• Creative with an upbeat, great attitude.
• Proven self-starter with a track record of working independently effectively
