We haven't come across Social Sauce to date. They say they are venture backed and founded in June 2006. There is very little on the site, so we can only offer their marketing statements: "Social Sauce is a community for users to express and share experiences with fun, easy-to-use tools. Our goal is to build a world centered on each user, but connecting everyone.
If you take the job, beware that it looks like you will have to live with crap like this, found on their web site:

Social Sauce is seeking a Java web developer to own the designing and implementation of multiple application systems and programs. We are looking for someone who can grow with the company to become an integral member of our team.
This position is based in our office in Manhattan, New York.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop three new applications over the next year – work with the engineering team in designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining application systems and programs for our interactive website
• Generate new ideas in brainstorming sessions and backend design overviews to shape the future development of our online products
• Develop and practice problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to meet our highest quality standards
Requirements:
• Familiar with Java web programming, including both server side (Java Servlets, JSPs, Struts, Hibernate) and client side (Javascript, AJAX)
• Experience with ActionScript a plus
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Enjoys having fun, innovating, and working in a free thinking environment where one is potentially subjected to all forms of eclectic music
