Boston's Yuppie Social Network HeyLetsGo Needs Programming Lead
We profiled HeyLetsGo over on the alarm:clock. They are in beta, limited to Boston. It was launched by several recent MIT grads and is funded by Highland Capital. They currently claim 100K users in Boston. Selling point is central location in downtown Boston and lots of parties to hit if you are into that.
In addition to a software lead, the company is looking for:
1. Designer
Experienced in information architecture and/or graphic design
Consumer Web site experience
Ideally worked with community sites, or dealt with information architecture for large complex sites, or sites with a fair amount of user interaction
2. Web Developer
Experienced Web developer with good understanding of architecture (no spaghetti code!) and can quickly implement new features
Skilled in PHP, MySQL, CSS
Ideally experience with consumer Web sites and user-centric design
3. Promoter
Experienced word of mouth promoter
Good set of social contacts
Ideally also creative and can create higher-leverage promotion programs
4. Marketing intern (summer/part-time)
Smart, quick learner, and hard worker
Interested in learning more about marketing and start-ups
Good verbal/written communication skills

Requirements
* BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
* 2-5 years software development experience, web development preferred
* Strong software engineering skills; know when to hack and when to refactor
* Ability to quickly implement a functional spec to deployable code
* Experience with PHP, MySQL, CSS, AJAX
* Working knowledge of Linux, development tools (vim/emacs, grep, sed, etc.)
* Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements
Plusses
* Knowledge of various web services/APIs
* Experience building scalable web applications
* Experience with Linux system administration
