VideoEgg Seeks Bad Asses
San Francisco based VideoEgg uses some flowery language in its jobs reqs. Why not, they are hiring in Frisco. The company was recently funded again - this time by Seattle-based Maveron - Starbucks' founder's VC firm.
Software Engineer
"You are a badass C/C++ guru, developing cross-platform client software for handling, editing and uploading video. You pride yourself in finding the elegant solution, work well under pressure and can do the work of 10 with time left to grab a beer after work. Gotta be able to learn new skills and technologies on the fly, architect full solutions from design to implementation, face pointer arithmetic without flinching, deliver product on time with clean code and elegant solutions."
Web Engineer
"Web2.0 maven, building database-driven web apps and supporting tools. Gotta have it all (or be able to learn quick), from setting up Linux boxes to database skils, server-side scripting (mostly Ruby, but some JSP, ASP, Perl, PHP), and frontend HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Ajax. Must have good visual design sense and a passion for building highly usable and innovative web experiences. "
