Startup B2B ASP Seeks .NET Developer/Co-Founder
Are you interested in getting in at the *first stage* of a B2B startup? Do you have significant .NET development experience? Do you live in the S.F. East Bay or within reasonable driving distance of our intended future base somewhere in or around Emeryville? If so, please consider the following:
We are the co-founders of a stealth-mode startup company targeting well-defined and acute pain points in the residential mortgage lending industry. Our knowledge of this space derives from our combined 40+ years of experience as lenders. Additionally, one of our founders is an accomplished product manager who has worked for Microsoft, a company acquired by Microsoft, and other entrepreneurial ventures, all related to online financial services targeted at lending institutions.
We have formulated our product plan in detail and have crafted our business strategy. We now need a technical co-founder to join us, build the initial version of our product and help us enter the market.
Specifically, we are seeking an entrepreneurial-minded technologist who is in a position to help carry the burdens of a seed-stage venture. This venture is being “bootstrapped” so there are no salaries yet. That means it’s possible for the right person to obtain a very significant equity share in the venture. However, if you need current cash flow this is not for you unless you are employed and can work lots of nights and weekends for several months. We plan to generate cash flow for this venture from pre-sales in Q1 2007.
The technical skills and experience we are seeking in our future partner include at least the following:
Extensive experience with the object-oriented model.
Solid architect-level experience designing and developing highly scalable web-based database applications using the .NET framework.
Good understanding of GUI design and usability principles.
Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (analysis, design, construction, test, etc.,) and capable of performing all coding, testing and debugging.
Ability to write a clear and concise functional specification.
Project management experience.
Experience working with visual designers and other developers to implement user interfaces and data interactions.
Recent experience building a highly scalable enterprise system.
Experience in an ASP model a plus.
The following additional skills and experience would be considered “very nice to have” but are not required. (If these attributes describe you it’s possible that you could take a longer-term technical leadership role in the venture as we grow):
Leadership ability, as evidenced by past management positions and accomplishments such as “VP of Engineering” or the equivalent.
Experience building and managing technical teams.
Experience with data integration problems and developing APIs for integration with other systems. Advanced degree in Computer Science.
Want to know more? Send your resume to . If your skills and experience match our requirements we will contact you to discuss the possibilities.
