Funded Consumer Internet Startup Looking for Rock Star Web Developer (SOMA / south beach)
Project Hi-Fi (www.projecthifi.com) is a stealth consumer Internet startup located in San Francisco building an industry-first application that will literally affect half the people in the United States. (If you think we are full of it, send in your resume and hear the pitch!) The business is based on proven customer behavior and we are in the process of closing our first round of venture capital. We have been funded to date by leading Valley angels, industry experts and professors at Harvard Business School. The founders have experience at leading consumer brands including Rhapsody, Snapfish, Quicken and PayPal.

We have a first-class engineering team in place and we are aggressively searching for that rare web developer that combines passion for customer experience and the technical know-how to lead our UI efforts. You will work closely with our Design Director who was responsible for Rhapsody, the award-winning digital music service. This role requires proven experience with a consumer application, deep design skills, dedication to quality, and a strong team ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with our Design Director to produce state-of-the-art Web 2.0 application
• Passionate about our customers’ experience
• Work closely with our engineering team to build a scalable, highly interactive, and dynamic consumer service
• Comfortable working in a start-up environment
• Current on latest visual design best practices


Successful candidates will have:

• Proven experience developing web sites for highly trafficked consumer businesses
• Have built consumer tested Flash and Action Script applications
• Ability to construct HTML/CSS/JavaScript (by hand if necessary)
• Understanding of cross browser compatibility (Firefox, IE, Opera)
• Exposure to leading edge JavaScript frameworks like Dojo and Prototype
• A degree in Design, Computer Science, or related experience
