VP Marketing - Internet Advertising

This is a new senior level opportunity to work with Monster senior management and General Managers to develop and manage the strategic marketing program for Monster’s rapidly growing internet advertising businesses. The desired candidate will oversee Monster’s marketing activities including advertising, integration and traffic strategies, product branding, product launches, and public relations. The overall goal will be to maximize Monster’s exposure to current and future customers and maximize display and lead generation revenue through the online media community. The desired candidate will be able to leverage Monster’s growing global market share to lead new product and service introductions and roll out strategies across multiple properties (Tickle.com, Military.com, Fastweb.com, Makingitcount.com, MonsterTrak.com). The incumbent will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and serve as the liaison between Monster’s internet advertising business and marketing shared services.

The growth and increased market share that can be attributed to a well coordinated, focused marketing strategy is expected to have a material impact on Monster Consumer’s overall growth and market dominance.

Essential Functions

The preferred candidate should have a unique combination of experience and capability that includes the following:

Minimum of 10 years marketing, business development, customer acquisition and market development experience in the online media industry.
Ability to be technically conversant about the industry, company offerings, company strategy, and competitive landscape.
An educational background that includes a Bachelor’s degree and preferably a Master’s degree in business.
Demonstrated ability to find creative and insightful ways to generate market recognition, awareness and revenue.
Experience as the lead marketing executive in an organization with proven experience in creating marketing programs from the ground up for an online leader.
Ability to work independently, with an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrating outstanding communication, presentation, networking, and organizational skills.
Experience in complex, highly dynamic environments where the ability to learn quickly and contribute immediately is required.
A hands-on approach that fits well with the unique Monster culture.
Some experience and exposure as a senior level executive to operational P&L responsibilities and how the strategic plan must be integrated into operational P&L objectives.
Ability to communicate clearly, understand diverse viewpoints, build consensus, and provide clear direction to multi-location team members.
Interpersonal, consultative, and engaging leadership traits that can manifest immediate credibility and developed into long term industry and customer relationships.
High levels of initiative, drive, and self motivation.
Ability to manage and deliver in a highly matrixed organization.

Qualifications

· Establish the Monster Consumer brands and the associated marketing strategy for the organization that is in line with achieving corporate growth and profitability goals across properties.

· Drive and support lead generation business and display business with a coordinated message and marketing plan across properties.

· Drive market awareness by managing content and flow of all outbound communications, including web sites, newsletter programs, trade shows, search, online advertising, print advertising, sales materials and client/sales messaging.

· Analyze and report on the ROI and overall effectiveness of products, marketing initiatives and promotions.

· Increase Monster Consumer’s visibility in the industry and advance the recognition of Monster Consumer as a market leader, maximizing market share and improving the organization's competitive position and its penetration.

· Build and cultivate relationships with key external influencers including analysts, reporters, and other industry figures to make Monster Consumer top-of-mind in target areas.

· As Monster Consumer grows and expands, lead the development of strategic programs to build awareness of Monster Consumer’s leadership position and development in new areas.

· Manage the tactics and programs to create interest, demand and recognition of Monster Consumer through the use of PR, Product Marketing, Creative Services, Advertising, Strategic Relationships, Direct Contact, Trade Events, Channel Development, Online Marketing, and other innovative approaches.

· Assists with the design and generation of sales presentations, catalogues, web sites, print advertisements, and data sheets.

· Develop the creative marketing vision and direct the team member responsible for discreet marketing functions such as advertising, brand, consumer, direct promotions, trade shows, promotions and market research
